HOW TO GET HERE ?

Sulawesi Tengarra -local name for South-East Sulawesi province- is right in the middle on a map of Indonesia. However this region is one of the least developed in the whole country when it comes to touristic infrastructures. The consequence is that nature is still untouched, unspoiled and there is still room to explore places where very few or nobody has been. On the other hand the access is sometimes time consuming. It is a small price to pay to access one of the best underwater jewel on our blue planet.

The province is situated on the south-eastern part of Sulawesi island (also called Celebes) and is around 38.000 Km² wide while the maritime space is 110.000 Km². The province is composed of several Kabupaten or districts, the main being :

  • Kolaka in the northern part whose capital city is Kendari, one of the entry point for Wakatobi National Park.
  • Wakatobi Archipelago, the jewel of the crown of the underwater world, situated right in the middle of the golden triangle of marine biodiversity. The combination of amazing reefs and underwater caves is unique in the world.
  • Pulau Buton and its capital city Baubau, famous for its cave under the city and its off the beaten path ocean dive sites.
  • Pulau Muna, the land of thousands caves, where many of our explorations take place. The paradise for hardcore cave divers.

In this section we will show you how to access our different locations. Note that the transportation is evolving quite fast, and airlines , and shiplines open and close regularly. The information showed down there are up to date on 14 July 2023..
